Community Opportunity Board

A meaningful component of Capstone Programs is the opportunity for members of communities outside of the University of Utah campus to propose projects that will engage the skills, knowledge and sensibilities of our students.

Undergraduate students seeking opportunities to engage in meaningful projects in communities and organizations they care about can search on our Community Opportunity Board to find projects that will provide valuable, hands-on learning while bringing needed skills, innovation and problem solving abilities to communities and organizations needing student assistance.

Capstone Community Proposal

Business owners, non-profit corporations and governmental organizations and agencies wanting to propose a project are invited to fill-out the Capstone Community Proposal Form.

Once approved, the proposal will be posted in Opportunity Board and circulated to students and appropriate university colleges and departments.

Capstone Department Proposal

University of Utah departments wanting to propose a project are invited to fill-out the Capstone Department Proposal Form.

Once approved, the proposal will be posted in Opportunity Board and circulated to students and appropriate university colleges and departments.

The Capstone Student Collaboration Network

If you are a student wanting to collaborate with students from other disciplines and departments but don’t know how to find them, our Capstone Student Collaboration Network can help.

Students interested in providing their skills, knowledge and sensibilities in collaboration with other students simply fill out the Capstone Student Collaborative Skills Form and submit it on-line. The form is, in part, a resume-building tool, as it requires students to assess and communicate the value they will bring to collaborative projects.
